Since its excavation in 1986, the Sanxingdui archaeological site has been a subject of ongoing debate and fascination, particularly regarding the nature of its pits—whether they served as sacrificial pits or for ceremonial objects. Recent excavations in 2021 further deepen our understanding, yet the full story of Sanxingdui's flourishing era remains shrouded in mystery. Despite these enigmas, interest in the Sanxingdui excavations has not waned. At the Shanghai Museum, the "Star over China: Sanxingdui and Jinsha Ancient Shu Civilization (星耀中国:三星堆·金沙古蜀文明展)" held since February 2, 2023, has allowed visitors to explore a wide array of artifacts, including those from the newly discovered pits. The exhibition, curated by Hu Jialin, a research curator at the Shanghai Museum, features 363 artifacts, with 59 from Pits 1 and 2 and 151 from the newly excavated Pits 4 to 9. The Song Dynasty was a prosperous era of cultural and artistic flourishing, and in recent years, there has been an increasing number of dramas set in the Song Dynasty. However, the Song dynasty trend depicted in "Serenade of Peaceful Joy" and "Palace of Devotion" failed to gain momentum. The only drama that consistently dominates the screen is "The Story of Ming Lan", which, although drawing references from Song Dynasty costumes and artifacts, is still a "Song-like drama" with a blurred portrayal of the historical era. Currently, the creation of Song Dynasty dramas is still on the rise, and it is expected to reach a small peak in the next two years. By examining these reliable historical materials, we can discover that the Kaiyuan and Tianbao periods were the fastest-changing phases in fashion during the Tang Dynasty. Therefore, we will use Yang Yuhuan's life as a reference to explore the history of women's fashion during the flourishing Tang Dynasty, focusing on four stages: her childhood in the early Kaiyuan period, her time in Luoyang during the middle of the Kaiyuan period, her status as a noble concubine in the early Tianbao period, and her tragic end in the late Tianbao period.
