In modern society, the collision between ancient and contemporary culture has sparked new interest in Hanfu, a traditional Chinese attire. As a passionate Hanfu enthusiast, I am deeply captivated by the elegance and splendor of Ming Dynasty-style Hanfu. To find a better location for photography, I decided to personally visit Qinhuangdao, a coastal city in China, where I would wear Ming Dynasty-style Hanfu and capture this beautiful memory with my camera to share with you. I. Qinhuangdao: A Beautiful City on the Coast Located in Hebei Province, facing the Bohai Sea, Qinhuangdao is a picturesque coastal city. II. Ming Dynasty Hanfu: Reliving the Grandeur of Ancient Emperors Ming Dynasty Hanfu is a traditional garment of the Han people that was favored and promoted by the emperors of the Ming Dynasty. It is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, exquisite embroidery, and delicate paper-cutting techniques. Moreover, the images of traditional festivals are also deeply loved by foreigners. Therefore, some important roles in many traditional festivals are often imitated. A woman dressed as Chang'e, who is from Sichuan, appeared on the streets of the United States. Through the photos, it can be seen that she wore ancient costumes to portray Chang'e, held a white rabbit, and danced with fluttering garments, which was quite stunning on the American streets. Such an initiative not only promoted China's traditional festival culture but also showcased the beauty and elegance of Chinese Hanfu. Hanfu has increasingly appeared on the streets and while it is gradually accepted by the public, certain distortions have emerged within this circle. On Zhihu, many newcomers to Hanfu complained that when they walked on the street wearing Hanfu, some senior enthusiasts would come over and loudly criticize their incorrect Hanfu matching and details. Some claimed that wearing glasses with Hanfu is inappropriate because such modern vision correction devices do not match the ancient style.
