1. Find a piece of prepared fabric and fold it into two layers (right sides together, wrong sides out). Lay it flat and then draw a rectangle on the wrong side that is 27cm long and 2/3 of your bust circumference wide (yellow), as shown in the image. Then draw a center line (blue).
Draw a horizontal line 5cm below the bottom (blue).
Draw a vertical line at 1/9 of your bust circumference from each side (yellow).
3. Draw two vertical lines 9cm from the center line on both sides (yellow), then draw the red curve as shown in the image.
Mark point B 4cm below point A (the so-called bust point).
From point A, mark a dart 4cm wide 6cm below point A (yellow) (the dart is used to shape the waist, which means folding along the vertical line through point A and sewing along the yellow line. I hope this makes senseā¦)
Similarly, draw the red dart.
As shown in the image~~
As mentioned before, the fabric is folded into two layers, so cutting will result in two fabric pieces (meaning the bustier will be double-layered).
1. Sew the darts on each fabric piece (note: do not sew the darts on the right side; the right side should remain flat after sewing).
2. After sewing the darts, place the two fabric pieces with the right sides together.
3. As shown in the image, sew around the green line, leaving a small purple segment at the bottom unsewn (to leave an opening for turning the bustier right side out).
4. Turn the bustier right side out through the small purple opening (since the inside is the right side and the outside is the wrong side).
5. Iron the bustier flat.
6. Sew ties on both sides of the bustier.
7. Complete.
