As a passionate lover of Chinese traditional culture, I have always had a dream: to personally experience the charm of Hanfu and, while wearing traditional attire, travel back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty or the Ming and Qing eras, experiencing that flourishing and vibrant era. Now, my dream has finally come true, and I have embarked on my own Hanfu journey.
To better immerse myself in the role, I prepared an exquisite set of Hanfu. When choosing the Hanfu, I particularly focused on selecting silk garments with meticulous materials and exquisite craftsmanship, as their delicate luster highlights a noble aura. Additionally, to achieve the perfect Hanfu ensemble, I paired it with gold-threaded hairpins, jade pendants, metal belts, and other accessories, each one a masterpiece carefully selected. To further enhance the historical ambiance of the Hanfu, I also invited a professional hairstylist to create a traditional hairstyle for me, complemented by light makeup, giving me the elegant demeanor of an ancient woman.
On the first day of entering the world of Hanfu, I arrived at a specialized Hanfu experience hall themed around ancient architecture. The entrance was made of simple yellow earth walls, and once inside, I felt a strong sense of ancient charm. A model sister dressed in magnificent Hanfu warmly welcomed us and explained the origin, development, and characteristics of Hanfu from different periods. After her explanation, I eagerly tried on my first set of Hanfu. My partner, a male staff member, carefully paired a dragon robe, exuding a regal air. We then embarked on a wonderful journey through time in our splendid attire.
First, we experienced traditional dance and music. Inside a naturally constructed ancient building, I held an ancient instrument called the “guqin” and played ancient melodies with another female dancer. The melodious tunes filled the air, and during this time, I felt as if I had traveled back to an ancient imperial court, feeling refreshed and elated. Next, we came to an open grassland where the model sister taught me how to walk and use a folding fan. Under her guidance, I felt like a noblewoman from the ancient court, truly experiencing the atmosphere of that time.
In the afternoon, the entire Hanfu experience hall became even more lively. Everyone, dressed in various Hanfu, walked and conversed freely in this space that seemed to turn back time. Amidst laughter and joy, I met many like-minded friends. Through exchanges and sharing, we learned from each other and improved our Hanfu-wearing skills. Meeting everyone again made me feel the warmth and camaraderie among Hanfu enthusiasts.
The next day, I participated in a Hanfu parade. In the parade, I and other participants formed a large procession. We were dressed in Hanfu, adorned with flowers and jade, walking quietly down busy streets. Passersby looked at us with envious eyes, and some even took out their phones to capture these beautiful moments. I was deeply moved because I realized that Hanfu is not just clothing but also a cultural activity that connects people, making us love our country more and promote traditional culture.
After the Hanfu parade, we visited a Han-style teahouse. The architectural style here resembled ancient palaces, ingeniously integrating modern tea culture. We brewed fragrant traditional tea cakes and savored the rich historical culture. With the first sip, I felt as if I had traveled back to a noble banquet in ancient China. The tea aroma lingered, and the tea sets were exquisite, creating a scene that seemed to let me hear the breath of history.
After the entire Hanfu journey, I gained a precious experience and broadened my understanding of traditional culture. Hanfu is not just a splendid costume but also a cultural inheritance. It embodies people's aspirations for a beautiful life and showcases the deep cultural sentiments of the Chinese people. Every person wearing Hanfu is a symbol of nostalgia for traditional culture and the pride and confidence of the Chinese people.
It was during this exquisite journey that I felt the pride and dignity conveyed by Hanfu. Wearing Hanfu is not only a tribute to traditional culture but also a way to showcase our beauty to the world. I firmly believe that Hanfu enthusiasts will continue to promote traditional culture with patriotism and pride, passing it down eternally.
