The national style and Hanfu (traditional Han Chinese clothing) have already penetrated the children's clothing market. Nowadays, many schools hold national style activities that require children to wear Hanfu, and parents also wish to showcase the excellent aspects of traditional culture to their children. Parents might feel psychological pressure when wearing Hanfu themselves, as they need to consider whether their makeup and headwear are appropriate and if they match their shoes and bags, but these concerns do not apply when buying Hanfu for their children. Luzhu'er mentioned that she encountered six primary school students at a “Return to Han and Tang” store, five of whom were very knowledgeable about Hanfu.
In a school in Henan Province, over twenty primary school students wore Hanfu to make shadow puppets. The teacher's original intention was to instill a love for traditional culture in these children, as many of them did not know what traditional culture was. Therefore, the school sometimes organizes such activities. In the video, we can see these twenty plus primary school students wearing Hanfu to make shadow puppets and performing shadow puppet shows. These activities are organized by local schools with the aim of helping children recognize and fall in love with traditional culture.
On April 20th, in the traditional courtyard of the “Lu Inkstone Hall” in Huiquan Peach Blossom Island, Yiyuan County, Shandong Province, primary and secondary school students dressed in Hanfu and Republic-era uniforms prepared their brushes and inkstones to write down their “Chinese Dream.” They hoped to express their understanding of traditional culture to their peers and promote Chinese traditional culture. On the same day, the Chinese Inkstone Culture Development Federation and Beijing Huiquan International Investment Co., Ltd., led by General Zhang Li, honorary president of the Federation and former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the PLA, and General Liu Hongjun, president of the Federation and former Deputy Commander of the Armed Police Force, donated thousands of inkstones to the students of Yiyuan County to spread traditional cultural education in the revolutionary base area. When it comes to wearing Hanfu, primary school students look simple, middle school students appear cute, but when it comes to university students: it's time to stop showing off! Primary school, middle school, and high school students all have opportunities to showcase their Hanfu, so how could university students be left out? University students love wearing Hanfu too, but their personalities tend to be more playful, which can be described with the popular term “clownish.” Recently, a photo of a university student in Hanfu has gone viral on the internet. The young lady is actually wearing white prison garb. Isn't that amusing?

“From face masks, cloud shoulders, robes, headgears, cloaks, to this year's Hanfu making, our school has conducted different projects centered around traditional culture every year. These projects allow primary school students and their parents to learn and inherit traditional culture during the process of creating together. Today's performance is aimed at fostering the children's confidence and adding more color to the school's cultural activities,” said Wang Guifang, principal of Dananlu Primary School. “Last year, due to the pandemic, the shawls the students made couldn't be displayed. So, this year, the students are very enthusiastic and looking forward to showcasing their creations again. The parents are also supportive, saying that they used to have craft skills but had no outlet for them. Now, our winter vacation assignments give parents a chance to utilize their talents.”
